Oooh is it cold now. This morning we had frost. And a layer of ice covered the cars parked in our street.
They said Sydney, being at sea level, does not get frost, but this is apparently not true.
Last year at this time I had escaped to Fiji for 2 weeks...

bei uns hat es jetzt schon mittags über dreißig Grad im Schatten. Das wird ein heißes Viertelfinalspiel aus GFS Sicht. (GFS = Gemeinsam Fußball schaun, also Deutsch für Public Viewing)

Geniesst die Hitze (luftig anziehen, Eis essen, Hut auf) -- besser so als zu kalt, oder? Ich wuenschte, ich koennte an eurem momentanen 'Sommermaerchen' in Deutschland dabeisein.
"Public Viewing" *ist uebrigens deutsch*, auch wenn's Englisch klingt (ist ein Scheinanglizismus, so wie Handy oder Beamer)... Ich hab deshalb letztens vor meinem Posting extra nachgeschaut, wie's denn nun korrekt auf Englisch heisst. "Outdoor screening" scheint akzeptabel...
